As a way to solve some navigation problems in the access channel to the Port of Maputo, MPDC has collaborated with INAHINA’s technicians in order to update the nautical chart. The updated nautical chart was presented to the shipping agents on the 16th of January 2012. The new chart is already for sale at the Port of Maputo Maritime Administration office, in INAHINA, and MPDC has been raising awareness amongst all stakeholders – including the captains of ships with a big draught that moor at the Port of Maputo – so they acquire the new chart.
