The new built multi-purpose vessel ‘ITOWE’, specifically designed for mooring, pilotage and other marine operations at the Port of Maputo, was delivered on the 12th of October2013. This multi-purpose boat is currently en route from Turkey and is planned to arrive in Maputo around end December travelling via the port of Antwerp.
The acquisition of the two recently acquired vessels (Itowe and Bulani), both in the same month, forms part of the deliverables of the agreement signed with P&O Maritime. To date the company has invested more than 14 million US dollars in the acquisition of 4 boats under this contract, namely the Pilot Boat (Chiuta), a Mooring/ Multi-purpose Boat (Itowe) and a Tug Boat (Bulani).
