MPDC, partnering with CPG Bunkering, is pleased to announce the launch of a new bunkering service, immediately available to supply bunkers by barge in the Port of Maputo. This is the first time since IMO 2020, that VSLFO has been made available in the Port of Maputo.
Signed on 19th September 2022, the exclusive agreement between the Parties will see the consistent supply of the two grades of marine fuels: Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (“VLSFO”) and Low Sulphur Marine Gasoil (“LSMGO”) to be delivered via ship-to-ship transfer (“STS”) at anchorage or at berth within the Maputo Port Jurisdiction area on a 24hrs basis. All fuels supplied will comply with the latest ISO:8217 quality standards for Marine Fuels and meet with MARPOL requirements. The contract between the parties has an initial duration of 2 years.
In Maputo, CPG Bunkering will initially be offering delivery by barge of VLSFO & LSMGO via its chartered barge, the Monjasa Performer. The barge is already positioned in the Port of Maputo.
