COMMUNICATION TO PORT USERS
With the view of improving the Port security system, MPDC – Maputo Port Development Company hereby announces that, on 17th and 18th May 2018, has successfully tested the new automated access control system and thus being informed that as of June 12, 2018 access to the Port will be through automated cards to open the Vehicle entry and exit gates and the turnstiles for pedestrian access.
The security teams at the gates will remain to provide the necessary support, inspections / searches and verification of access authorizations in accordance with the Port Security policy.
In order to ensure that the Port Users have their Access Cards issued and in operation by the date mentioned above, the Port Authority through the Security Department will be responsible for printing and distributing them to the respective recipients / institutions according to the data available in the system and duly updated for the year of 2018.
Port Users who do not receive their Automated Access Cards until 08th of June 2018 should contact the Port Security Department before the 12th of June for their regularization.
Note: Automated Access Cards will be valid until the 31st of December of each year and their renewal must be requested 30days before and must be in compliance with the Port Access Control and Conditions of Entry Policy.
