The Minister of Transports and Communication, Carlos Mesquita, has visited the Port of Maputo on the 11th of May 2015. His first official work visit to the Port had the objective of seeing the expansion and rehabilitation works done at the port in the last two years, as well as getting an insight on the challenges faced by the port.
During his visit, the Minister praised all the expansion efforts and the ammount of investment that is being done to turn the Port of Maputo into a world-class and competitive port, but stressed the need to migrate cargo from road to rail.
