Dredging works were concluded on the 27th of May in the bulk cargo berth, or berth 15. With an extension of 185 meters, the berth was dredged in order to reach -12 meters C.D.
The objective was to dredge the berth to its last capital dredging depth, thus solving the problems some ships had when berthing but with some restrictions.
The dredging works were perfomed by Subtech who used an air-floating system, in which a suction pump is used to remove the sediments. It is estimated that 2000 cubic meters of material was dredged.
