MPDC has started the year training its staff in fire fighting techniques. From the initial 150 proposed, 96 people from different areas and departments have already received training, but the objective is to train all staff to be able to efficiently prevent and fight potential fires in the port.
Last year MPDC started a series of training sessions in first aid. The first aid training, more detailed, is also to be given to all MPDC staff.
In an environment where safety is seen as crucial for port operations, these trainings are a top priority.
