The Minister-President of Flanders, a region in Belgium, Kris Peeters visited Port Maputo no the 24th of August. In the visit committee were also included the representatives of Antwerp, Gent and Zeebrudge ports, as well as others delegates of the Flanders Government.
The visit included a brief discussion session about the Port Maputo’s Master Plan and the recent dredging works done by a Belgium company – Mascarenes Dredging Management – and a guided visit through the Maputo and Matola’s terminals.
The objective of Kris Peeters’ visit to Mozambique was to intensify the economic cooperation between Flanders and Mozambique.
